Have you ever wondered how it would be meeting your childhood friends and spending time with them? Have you ever wondered how you would react meeting them after fifteen, twenty or twenty five years? Would you be the same or would you have changed? Would your friends behave with you the same way or would they not? The naughtiness, the class bunking, the hours spent together playing cricket or football, the celebration of each and everything just to get time with each other, wasn’t that the Asli Yaari moments of our lives? Would you not want to relive them?
MSD is sharing all such memories with his childhood friends in a video created by McDowell’s No1 Soda, which succeeds in showing what Asli Yaari is or rather what is MS Dhoni ki #No1Yaari. I liked it not just as a story, but rather felt related to it thinking about my own school friends.
MS Dhoni and his friends all are from Ranchi at now formed Jharkhand. They have seen their friendship grow in thick and thin and their brotherhood has become stronger with each passing day. I am sure the same is the case with most of us when it comes to our childhood friends. The video is titled ‘Dhoni ki #No1Yaari’ and is just like any of our lives, with some old memories shown with photographs, playing cricket with empty Oil tins used as stumps, confidently arguing a not-out in spite of being out, playing pranks on each other and cracking jokes shared only with true friends.
In the video at one point MS Dhoni states “A lot has changed over the years, but one thing that has remained constant and by my side is my true friendship. Even though we are not able to meet each other very often, but whenever we do, we start from where we last left. Over the years, this bond of brotherhood has only become stronger. This video rebuilds our priceless moments and makes me cherish my yaari even more.”
The famous Theologian and Philosopher Thomas Aquinas quoted ”There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than True Friendship.” All that matters is Friendship or Asli Yaari.
McDowell’s No1 Soda is running a contest where the lucky winners who comment on the video will get a once in a lifetime chance to meet the MS Dhoni with their No1 Yaars to celebrate their friendship. I am taking part in this contest to take a shot at meeting Mahi. Are you?
