The year 2015 was a busy year for me where I had to juggle between being a Blogger, a Chef, a Personal Nutritionist, a Recipe Developer apart from being a working professional. This was primarily the reason why my Reading dipped and was able to read just a few books in 2015.
The first book which I read was ‘#DongritoDubai’ by Hussain Zaidi originally published in 2012. Hussain is a Novelist and a Journo whose genre has been Crime and Investigation. This book can be called one of his best. It is an interesting and descriptive account of the Mumbai Underworld and Mafia over 6 decades when the Mafioso in Mumbai was really strong. Only a good read for people who are interested in knowing about the Underworld and mafia, definitely a no-no for anyone who reads romantic stories.
The second book which I read was ‘#IndiaOnMyPlatter’ written by friend Chef Saransh Goila. This was Saransh’s debut attempt at writing a book based on his famous Trip and Food show ‘Roti, Rasta or India’ made by the Chef himself covering 20,000 kms in 100 days. The full and detailed review of the book was also done by me a couple of months back. You can find it here: https://fashionablefoodz.com/india-on-my-platter-book-review/
The last book of the year was ‘#TheBestsellerSheWrote’ by Ravi Subramanian. Ravi is an IIM alumnus Bengaluru and has spent over 20 years working fro global banks in India. This was his first attempt at penning a romantic story. The full and detailed review of this book was done by me in December 2015. You can find it here: https://fashionablefoodz.com/the-bestseller-she-wrote-review/
Lets hope I am able to give more time to reading in 2016 and do some more reviews.
