This is a very popular place and almost a Landmark bang opposite the Andheri Railway station on the SV Road. This place boasts of the old and Traditional bakery which has been popular for its Mawa cakes, Chicken puffs and bakery items and has stood amidst all the changes the city has seen over the last 20 years.
Seating: Not available. Only Takeaway.
Working Hours: 9.30am to 11pm.
Address: Ahura Bakery & Stores, 200, Swami Vivekanand Rd, Andheri West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400058
Ambiance: The well lit Joint shows the blend of the traditional old and new generation changes. The set up inside is simple and yet elegant with cleanliness around. The glass racks have been marked and maintained well in a simple Bakery fashion which makes one understand what options he/she has.
Food: I ordered a lot of food since I don’t travel to that side of town much. The Legendary Mawa Cakes and Chicken as well as Mutton Puffs were packed. I also tried some Naan Khatai and Jeera Butter along with Mutton Patties. They were simply awesome. The Veg Paalak Puff was a big disappointment though. The price is decent and the food stuff served is clean and hygienic. Looking at their popularity over the years I am sure they have many more years left in them with their second generation taking charge of the management.
Service: The service is decent and the orders are fulfilled pretty fast. Since the staff is with them for a long time, they know exactly where to find an ordered item and that makes the service quicker.
Price: All prices are standard as per the average Bakery rates. Approx Rs.200-250/-per person if he/she tries all types of their specialties.
