Eco-Friendly Ganesh Festival

Since the time we have started celebrating Ganesh Festival at our place, we had decided to keep an Eco-friendly Idol. Its been 3 years now and every year, people from the nearby area come to see the idol out of work-ship and out of the awe to see how exactly an eco-friendly Ganesha looks. This is a small Photo-blog showing the entire Festival. I hope we are able to convince a few more to switch to eco-friendly celebrations.

Immersion Process

The Immersed idol gets dissolved in water in 24 hours. The same water is very good for plants and can be used to water plants and trees in the society compound.

Hope the above inspires some to do Eco-friendly Ganesh Festival every year.

  1. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Seems like you had a good one. I would have loved to be in Mumbai or Pune for this festival. Your celebration so reminded me of that.

  2. awesome UK 🙂
My brother in law and sister also make an eco-friendly Ganpati each year, but they do the immersion in the sea…
May HE bless you and your family 🙂
    Ganpati Bappa Morya! 🙂

  3. Beautiful pictures and the eco-friendly idea is wonderful. May Lord Ganesha’s blessings be always with you and your family… 🙂
