Ashes Series with UC Browser

8th July 2015. Ashes series. 1st day of the Test match at Cardiff. Australia and England. I was seeing the schedule again and again and was checking my Travel plan. I was sure that I was travelling to Jaipur the same morning and would be supervising the factory operations for the whole day as an important consignment would be moving out. So knew I would not be sitting at a place to watch my favorite game Cricket for which I can do anything. My mind was racing fast and I was thinking how to avoid Jaipur in order to watch the first day of this epic match series. I made a plan and rushed to the Boss’s cabin with a story which he would buy and allow me to stay back in Mumbai where I could watch the match. But as luck would have had it, he was sympathetic to my cooked up story but refused to budge. He told clearly that I had to go to Jaipur as there was not other senior person present in the Mumbai office at that time apart from me. I came out with a heavy heart and sat at my desk. My friend came over and asked me what the issue was. I told him that I did not want to watch the highlights on the first day itself and the streaming was relatively slow if I tried watching it live on my Android at the Jaipur factory. He listened to me patiently and suggested me to use UC Browser. I asked him how would it make a difference and he didn’t reply to my surprise. Instead, he insisted I download it and use it in Jaipur and tell me the difference.  Since I did not want to spoil his mood, so I reluctantly downloaded the browser and got back to work. In fact I forgot about it too.

Next morning, I was in Jaipur working as usual and cursing my fate for missing my favorite Ashes Series day 1 play. As I sat near a vehicle which was getting loaded, I suddenly remembered what my friend had told me and pulled out my phone. Since the factory has a good Wi-Fi all over the premise, connectivity was not a problem. I opened the UC Browser and checked the online feed. To my pleasant surprise, the transitions were seamless. I was surprised to see UC Cricket which is a space dedicated to a die hard cricket fan like me, connecting to the match wherever I was. I was able to see the entire action of the first day without any hassles and the picture quality never once deteriorated. I rooted for Root as he scored a magnificent 134 from 166 balls. Most importantly, I watched my favorite stars bat and bowl like I always did at the office Plasma. I don’t have words to thank my friend for referring me to UC browser and most importantly, UC Browser for making UC Cricket accessible to all with one tap of the finger. I returned back to Mumbai that night as a happy man having finished my work too and also not missed a single ball of this all important match.
