Shree SiddhiVinayak Refreshments, which is a Pure veg Joint adjoining the Iconic Siddhivinayak Temple at Prabhadevi. Almost all people who come there for Darshan go here for snacks and meals. It is a highly crowded and popular joint for all Veg food lovers here. Over the years, the focus of the restaurant shifted from being a simple refreshment Joint to a multi cuisine restaurant. It serves some authentic and awesome South Indian snacks and will remain the number one choice of people coming to the temple simply because of the proximity. The restaurant welcomes you from 7am to 12 midnight.
Decor
The joint is done beautifully in spite of the space constraint. The Restaurant is always crowded on any day and any time being next to one of the most popular the Temple in Mumbai, but there is little waiting. The seating and spacing is a bit tight and one has to adjust in order to accommodate. Families, couples and Individuals all come here and sit together when there is seat scarcity and have quick snacks before moving on. Overall the décor is appealing even though being simple. A lot of attention needs to be given to cleanliness since it’s a fast paced running Joint.
Food
The South Indian snacks like the Onion Uthappa, Steam Idli and Dosa are the highlights of this Joint. We ordered Idli, Dosa, Onion Uthappa and Chole Bhature between us. The south Indian snacks scored well over the others. The Chole Bhature are a complete fail when compared to the south Indian snacks. The Masala Dosa and Onion Uthappam were good and the Idli was soft too. Overall the South Indian Snacks score over everything else available there and the food ratings come down only because of the other non-south Indian dishes.
Plus and Minus
To start with the Plus, the Restaurant is strategically located and hence they have a great advantage over other restaurants. The crowd will keep coming and there will always be loads of fresh footprints. Foodies like me will definitely go here for the South Indian snacks, though I would like to see the restaurant improve its quality on other fronts too.
The Minus is that the Menu card shows too many options which the Chefs have not mastered and hence they find it difficult to manage when ordered. Keeping the Menu simple and up to ones expertise always goes in favor with the restaurant. The service is fast but lacks politeness. The cleanliness is an issue and so is the moving around from the table towards the wash basin.

Decent food and the timing suits all…especially for a night person like me… 😀
Timings and location suits all who visit, but to be honest the food quality needs a lot of improvement Mani..
