Let me start with saying this. The launch of the ASUS Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) on 23rd April could possibly bring a revolution in the smartphone segment. I am saying this looking at the features of the phone and one can say that its far more superior than its counterparts from other brands also priced economically. The model will come in Red, Grey, Black, white and Gold body colors. With a light 170 g weight and a price below Rs.20,000/-, this model is sure going to catch attention of all. Since we always look for sleek phones with a larger display for better viewing experience and a solid battery life, the ASUS Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) phone is sure going to interest many.
Now, citing the features what will appeal one and all is the Top 5 according to me. I will try and list them down, giving a basic idea as to how it would benefit the user:
- The 3000 mAh Battery. Not only would this 3000 mAh powerful battery last for many hours under constant use and switching between applications, but it also has a fast-charge technology, which will recharge close to 60 percent of the battery in 39 minutes of charging. A feature which is not available in any other phone model.
- A 4GB RAM with a 64 bit class based2.3GHz Intel Atom processor Z3580 with PowerVR G6430 GPU and an Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with custom Zen UI will make this the most stable in operation smartphone.
- The main camera is 13.0 megapixel with PixelMaster technology, which captures high resolution photos with zero shutter lag. It has a f/ 2.0 aperture and Backlight (HDR) mode. The low light mode employs a pixel-merging technology to capture up to 400% bigger photos at night without the need of the flash. The same applies in all low light scenarios. The front camera is 5.0 megapixel with 88 degree field of view and comes with a ZenUI Selfie Panorama mode which can capture up to 140 degrees of the field view giving you panoramic selfies to accommodate more in one snap.
- Dual Sim, Dual Active which gives you not only the much needed dual Sim capacity, but also the Dual Active technology, which will never let you miss a call unless you want to. You can switch seamlessly to the other Sim if you are getting a call from there while you are already on a call on the first Sim. The same applies for Short Messaging service too.
- The 5.5 inch full HD IPS screen with a 178 degree wide viewing angle. It also has an ASUS TruVivid display technology and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 shield and the pixel density is 403 pixels per inch making it one of the best in its class. All of us desire a 5 inch plus screen now and
So this fits the need of one and all, #CantWait4Zenfone2.
Overall a much awaited phone which all will like in that segment. I am sure more reviews and detailed descriptions would follow soon.

Thats a well written piece covering the basics. There have been some good reviews about the phone and hope the second editions lives up to the expectations generated by the first. I am also planning to buy it. Dual Sim is the killer feature at this price point.
Thanks amsang.. 🙂
