A very noble Initiative by the HUL’s Flagship Brand DOMEX aims at making a contribution of Rs.5 per click on http://www.domex.in/ which goes towards defecation free villages in India which have over 575 million people still defecating in the open. Let us all support them in this cause by getting more knowledge about the initiative and spreading awareness of the same as much as we can.
To give some basic details of the campaign a Domex Toilet academy has been formed on 19th Nov 2013 and aims at making affordable and accessible toilet to the local community in the villages. how many of us have even thought of doing such work leave alone taking a step towards doing it? Domex has not just conceptualized it but has also executed and implemented it with success and its a Giant leap in the field of sanitation.
The hazards which not many are aware due to open defecation are many and we are not doing any favor to the people in the villages by helping this initiative, rather its for our own safety..for us who live in secure environments in cities in plush flats and feel we are safe. Are we? daily thousands of people from villages throng to the cities in search of work and along with them they may carry unhygienic practices and behaviorism which may eventually effect us as we are somewhere or the other bound to them via maids, servants, local stall owners, milkman etc…All these people have come from villages and will keep coming. Domex has taken this fantastic initiative so that each village has proper toilets so that no diseases are spread due to open defecation and no such carriers of such diseases move over to the city and in turn become threat to others. Most importantly the Females who are responsible for giving birth to our future generations are not at all safe in terms of health and hygiene due to unavailability of Toilets in village areas and have to defecate openly. We have to think about them too and so I urge all of you to take a stand. Toilet for Babli is the initiative which will bring this change and all Babli of all villages in India will no longer have tio defecate in open in future. I think its our duty to help and support this initiative as much as we can and spread awareness of this issue and also this initiative of Domex.
Once again I will repeat that You can bring about the change in the lives of millions of kids, thereby showing your support for the Domex Initiative. All you need to do is “click” on the “Contribute Tab” on www.domex.in and Domex will contribute Rs.5 on your behalf to eradicate open defecation, thereby helping kids like Babli live a dignified life.
