Mutton Mushroom – UK’s Kitchen

Wash 1000 gms mutton and cut in medium pieces.

Add some salt, a paste of a bunch of Coriander and Ginger & Garlic (about 1 Tablespoon).

Marinade for 2-3 hours.

Pressure cook or open cook the mutton after marination and keep aside.

Wash 500 gms mushrooms separately, and cut in two. Keep it soaked.

Cut about 4 onions straight and half coconut (wet and grated)

Fry on a pan on low flame in 2 tablespoon Olive oil.

Add 10  cloves of Garlic and 2 tablespoon of Garam masala.

Remove from pan and let it cool. Then make a thick paste of it adding some water. Keep aside.

Take a pot or deep pan and add some Olive Oil (3-4 tablespoon) and add some 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds.

Once they splutter add 1 finely chopped onion to it.

Once the Onion turns translucent, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and stir well.

Add 1 tablespoon of Coriander-cumin mix powder and stir well.

Add the cooked mutton along with the stock and stir well on a medium flame.

Add the cut mushrooms and put salt as per taste.

Add some water and bring to a boil.

Add the Coconut-Onion paste and stir well to make a thick gravy.

Add Red chili powder as per spice needed and put one full lemon juice in it.

Cover the pot and let it simmer for 4-5 mis.

Turn off Gas, remove, garnish with a few drops of olive oil and serve hot with some Bhakri/ Chapati/ Bread. ..:)
