This is the last of the IPL Recipe- CSK Chicken suggested by Mrs. Smita Kulkarni.
Take the entire chicken and apply slashes to all pieces.
Marinade the same with a paste made from Green Chili, Coriander and Ginger garlic paste.
Add half lime Juice and 1 tablespoon salt. Keep aside for at least 4 hours.
In a Pot/Pan, heat oil.
Add cumin seeds, clove and bay leaves. Stir.
Add 1 cup onion and stir till they become translucent.
Add Turmeric powder and stir well.
Make a paste of 1 cup of Onions with Garlic cloves and add in the pan.
Stir well till the onion starts leaving oil
Add the masala and chili powder. Stir for a minute.
Add finely chopped tomatoes and stir fry for 1 minute.
Add the chicken marinade and cumin coriander powder.
Stir, add water and over to cook for 15 mins on low flame.
Remove lid, adjust salt as per taste and add a dash of lime.
Stir dry it till you get a thick paste along with the chicken.
This would fall under a semi-gravy category and relish the same while watching the IPL finals tomorrow..:)
