Taj Lands End- A honest Review

Taj Lands End, which has been the pride of Bandra for many years now is Iconic and its presence can’t be ignored whenever we speak of the Hospitality industry. Almost all who have visited Mumbai for business trips would have stayed at the Taj Lands End at some point in time. The hotel is equipped with Traditional sea view rooms, Club-level rooms and suites provide butler service and access to the lounge with free breakfast and evening cocktails. The suites are Plush and spacious with well done interiors and the ambience makes one feel special. Dining options include Indian, Chinese and Italian restaurants, as well as a sophisticated lobby lounge.

Ambiance

The Hotel is done beautifully and it is seen in every nook and corner. The lights are perfect and adds to the beauty of the walls, furniture  and the décor. The Seating is spacious and we have plenty of space to walk. The utilization of the space for everything done in the hotel is optimized with great efforts and the results are seen in the magnanimous look it gives.

Food

The salad spread was good consisting of Cold Meeze bar, Cous Cous Salad, Granny Smith Toasted Walnuts Celery hearts with Mayo dressing and some Dahi Bhalle.I liked all of them.

I tried the Indian food with some Hydrabadi Veg Biryani, Kadhai Paneer, Punjabi Kofte, Bharleli Vangi, Lasooni Makai Paalak, Yellow Dal Tadka and Dal Makhani in the main course. I liked the Punjabi Kofte the most, followed by Dal Makhani and then the Lasooni Makai Palak. The other dishes were above average. The roasted Veg Lasagna was an epic and I loved it the most. I also tried some Italian Pasta on a live counter. I had to instruct the budding chefs how and what to add but they did the job pretty well.

The dessert spread was also awesome with Assorted cheese cakes and some Pot Kulfi.

Service

The Service is awesome.

Plus and Minus
To start with the Plus, the Hotel is strategically located and hence they have a great advantage over other Hotels of similar class. The restaurants are generally full during evening hours. Foodies like me will definitely go here for tasting the various dishes. The Minus for us is that we can’t taste all of it together in one go. 😀 The service is fast and prompt so full marks there. The cleanliness is maintained to a high standard and the training shows.
