D’lecta Bloggers Meet & Workshop

D’lecta

D’lecta and HumBhiChef organized a Bloggers meet along with a Baking workshop and I decided to polish my baking skills by attending it. The experience was awesome and I met fellow bloggers and friends Shalini Digvijay from baketitude , Gauri Kamath from Misal pao and Aarthi Basrur of Gastronomicflight after a long time. I was excited and so were they to see how the class works. We were greeted by chef Priya Dikshit from humbhichef and she taught us some of the most awesome cakes and bakes which are in everyday use. She handled the apparatus with ease and we all could see that she knew her job well. Her style of explaining is simple and we could relate with it. Here is a glimpse of what we did.

We helped her a little with whatever we could to bake the dishes. We learned Eggless baked Cheese cake, Baked Yoghurt, Black Forest Cheesecake and the hot favorite of all, Expresso & Dark Chocolate Mousse.

The D’lecta workshop time was about 3 hours and we were so engrossed in the class that we did not realize when it got over. I wish I can get to do some more soon. We were given a gift hamper from d’lecta and a certificate too.

We concluded the workshop with some smiling faces and will cherish the great experience we had here.

Today I bring to you a recipe which I was taught in the D’lecta workshop and also would suggest some twists which you may/may not use depending on your need to bake the dish.

Expresso and Dark Chocolate Mousse

Serves :– 8

Ingredients:

Dark Chocolate – 200 gms + 1 Tbsp grated

D’Lecta Dairy Cream – 100 gms

Instant Coffee – 4 Tbsp or as per need

D’lecta non Dairy whip Topping – 300 gms + 40 gms

Canned Cherries – 8

Recipe:

Chop the dark chocolate and keep aside. Add a spoon of Instant coffee powder to the chocolate. Boil the cooking cream in a pan and pour over the chocolate immediately. Stir to form a smooth sauce. Let it cool to room temperature. Whip the whipping cream and fold gently all of it except 40gms in the chocolate sauce by hand blending it. Pour in individual shot glasses or any other glass and keep in refrigerator to set. Serve chilled, garnished with the 40 gms whipped cream, cherries and grated chocolate.
